FIRECRACKER 40 CANCELLED DUE TO HEAVY AFTERNOON RAIN WITH MORE RAINFALL EXPECTED IN THE EVENING

ODESSA, MO. (July 16,2023) – With heavy rainfall hitting I-70 Motorsports Park this afternoon and expected rainfall to continue this evening and through the night, the I-70 Motorsports Park Officials, Lucas Oil MLRA Late Model Officials, and Show Me Vintage Racing Officials have cancelled the Firecracker 40 scheduled for this evening, July 16. The Fireworks Display Presented by J&M Displays scheduled for this evening’s event will move to the All Star Invasion Presented by El Bandido Yankee Tequila Company event on Friday, July 28, 2023.

Tickets purchased online for the Firecracker 40 will ALL be automatically refunded. For further assistance please email info@i70motorsportspark.com.

“We really wanted to get this race in,” said Casey Shuman, I-70 Motorsports Park General Manager. “Unfortunately, the weather just hasn’t worked out for this event to be possible. We received rain earlier this week, it’s pouring here now, and the radar shows we will receive more rain this evening and through the night. The last thing I want to do is get teams and fans out here to get rained on and then be forced to cancel. We’re already trying to find a date for 2024 to have late models back at I-70.”

The I-70 Motorsports Park Staff shifts focus next to the All Star Invasion Presented by El Bandido Yankee Tequila Company on Friday, July 28, 2023 showcasing the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions along with the POWRi Midwest Modifieds. Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase here: http://thefoat.com/554844.
