FIRECRACKER 40 POSTPONED TO JULY 16

ODESSA, MO. (July 1, 2023) – I-70 Motorsports Park Officials, Lucas Oil MLRA Late Model Officials, and the Show Me Vintage Racing Cars Officials have decided that due to forecasted severe weather, including hail and strong wind gusts, to postpone the Firecracker 40 to Sunday, July 16, 2023.

All pre-purchased online tickets will be redeemable for the Firecracker 40 on the new event date. The Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models plus Show Me Vintage Racing Cars will remain as the scheduled entertainment as well as the fireworks show presented by J&M Displays to follow the races.

"We tried to wait out the weather as long as we could in order to get the event in," said Casey Shuman, I-70 Motorsports Park General Manager. "Unfortunately we just haven't seen enough of a shift in the forecast to comfortably move forward with the event tonight. We do not want to put families in possible danger with the forecast showing hail and strong wind gusts. The good news is that we were able to find a suitable date to reschedule, and the show will run as planned on Sunday, July 16."

Spectators with additional inquiries regarding ticketing information are advised to call the I-70 Motorsports Park Office at (816) 393-0001.

*Show Me Vintage Racing Cars are tentatively on the schedule to return on Sunday, July 16 with high likelihood.
