Tommie Estes Jr. Becomes I-70 Motorsports Park Dirt Track Manager

ODESSA, MO. (January 4, 2021) - Dirt track racing industry veteran, Tommie Estes Jr., has joined I-70 Motorsports Park as the Dirt Track Manager, effective immediately. His leadership is timely for the Odessa, Missouri track which is set to open with a 2-Day, World of Outlaws and POWRi Sprint Car Series event, on the weekend of Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1, this year.

Beyond being a former Sprint Car driver (1977 – 1998), Estes’ knowledge of operating dirt track events comes through his roles as Competition Director for the American Sprint Car Series (1999-2011), and operator at Dodge City Raceway Park (2011-2020), before now joing I-70 Motorsports Park’s management team. Having raced, produced, and promoted thousands of events throughout his tenure in the dirt track industry, Estes will help bring the revamped motorsports facility on the east side of Kansas City’s metro area back to its glory days.

“Impressive is the best word to describe what the new owners of I-70 Motorsports Park have built. In a little less than 5-months, dirt track fans in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa will get to see the best teams in Sprint Car racing take to the new track and put on an exciting show. I’m just glad to be a part of putting it all together,” said Estes Jr. “We will continue to add events to the schedule as the season goes and know that the participants and fans will be thrilled every time they come to the track.”
